Dismissal procedures

PreK and Kindergarten car line students should be picked up from the east side horseshoe area at 2:30 PM unless they ride home with a Grade 1 or 2 student. Older students and younger siblings will be picked up in the back car line at 2:45 PM. Have a great day!

Arrival Procedures

All PreK to Grade 2 students should use the car line near the football field or the buses for arrival. DOTD crews will be working to upgrade the sidewalk corners on Shankland Avenue.

Head Start / Bright Beginnings Registration

Save the Children Head Start is conducting registration for three-year-olds; Johnnie Belle Chavis, the director, may be contacted at 616-9556. Bright Beginnings of Jennings is a Type III Child Care Center and accepts infants through three-year-olds. Director Stephanie Fontenot can be contacted at 824-1234.

Nutritional slush fruit drinks are sold at the afternoon recesses for Kindergarten to Grade 2. Sales support our PBIS / Leader in Me positive behavior programs. Slushes are 50 cents each and are used as a reward for good behavior.

Supply fees are due!

As field trips and special events approach for this fall, we must remind everyone of our school’s policy for participating in these events. Students must pay their school supply fees and other accounts before participating in these activities. (Note: All students currently enjoy free breakfast and lunch at our school through our new grant.)

We are continuing our annual Community Cash for Schools program. We need each family to collect proofs of purchase (labels) from eligible Community Coffee products. A successful Community Cash for Schools program depends on your support. Please save proofs of purchase from Community Coffee products and have your children bring them to the library.
