2018-2019 Registration

Registration for all grades is open now! If you have any questions, call the school office at 824-1235. All students need the following documents: Child's birth certificate, child's shot record, and child's Social Security card.

These documents are needed to register your child for public school Pre-K:
Proof of income (one of these: SNAP / food stamp certification letter, Social Security SSI benefit statement, two consecutive check stubs, official letter from employer stating hourly rate and number of hours worked, current foster care agreement, letter for other source of income if homeless or unemployed),
Proof of current residence (driver's license, utility bill with parent's name and address, current lease agreement, letter of household residence, or homeless application).

Awards Day Friday

Awards Day will be held this Friday, March 23. First grade begins at 8 a.m. with kindergarten following at 11:35 a.m. Second grade begins at 12:45 p.m. We hope that you can join us to honor your children!

Dismissal procedures

PreK and Kindergarten car line students should be picked up from the east side horseshoe area at 2:30 PM unless they ride home with a Grade 1 or 2 student. Older students and younger siblings will be picked up in the back car line at 2:45 PM. Have a great day!

Arrival Procedures

All PreK to Grade 2 students should use the car line near the football field or the buses for arrival. DOTD crews will be working to upgrade the sidewalk corners on Shankland Avenue.

Head Start / Bright Beginnings Registration

Save the Children Head Start is conducting registration for three-year-olds; Johnnie Belle Chavis, the director, may be contacted at 616-9556. Bright Beginnings of Jennings is a Type III Child Care Center and accepts infants through three-year-olds. Director Stephanie Fontenot can be contacted at 824-1234.
