Hi! My name is Monica Joseph. I have been teaching for over "twenty-something" years. I begin my first year of teaching at Crowley High School where I reside with my family. My husband Daniel and I have been married for twenty-five years and have three children: a daughter Phayla, a son Taylar (# 9 JHS Varsity Football player), another daughter Khayla, and a beautiful grand daughter Chayla. I also have a step son Daniel. I have spent the remainder of my teaching years at James Ward Elementary. I began as a resource teacher for about five years then taught first grade for about fourteen/fifteen years before returning to special education resource once again. During those early years at James Ward Elementary my colleague and I piloted the Inclusion program throughout the parish in the (90s). This came from my belief and vision as well as my mission which was carried out throughout the work with my students on a daily basis in and out of the classroom. I come to make an Impact on the students I serve, to Empower them to believe that they can do all things, and Prepare them to become great Leaders! I love to see the light bulbs go off when students understand and for our sped students it's really a special treat to see them understand. Kids are truly a reward and we want to make sure their lights shine as super leaders in our community! Together we can make it happen!
